Since 1951, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta has been connecting people to the issues and organizations making a difference in our region. There are approximately 750 grantmaking community foundations across the country, each focused on improving quality of life in a geographic region. The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta does that right here in Atlanta within our 23-county metro areas.

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is one of the nation’s top 25 community foundations by asset size and has become a leader in grantmaking and community impact. We are experts in philanthropy, strengthening the region’s nonprofits and in the issues affecting the metro Atlanta region.  

We are accredited by the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations and continue to receive national recognition for our financial health, accountability and transparency.

We remain a trusted steward of a long-term charitable resource that for more than 60 years has served donors and benefited nonprofits and communities in our 23-county region. We value learning, leadership and transparency.
