JOSH PHILLIPSON serves as program associate for the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, a community initiative of The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Josh manages the Arts Fund’s Toolbox program for management consulting awards and administers the financial grant program, handling grants to more than 70 arts organizations in the metro Atlanta area. He also manages communications for the Arts Fund program.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2003, Josh worked as the project and studio manager at Deepend and Tesser, both graphic design and advertising firms in San Francisco. He has a degree in Theater from Emory University.

Our Philanthropic Framework

During 2008 The Community Foundation dedicated time to learn new ways we can strengthen the Atlanta region through philanthropy. We studied practices in the field, attended conferences, read research from experts and peers, and listened to our donors, nonprofits and community leaders. From this we have created Our Philanthropic Framework.

This is not a reinvention of The Community Foundation - it is simply our intent to clearly define how we do our work and how we'll know if we're making a difference.
