JUANITA SHEPPARD serves as executive assistant to the president for The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. In this position, Juanita is responsible for providing full administrative support to the president, as well as supporting assignments associated with the Board of Directors. She also works with the Finance and Operations department in ensuring the Foundation’s compliance with national foundation standards.
Juanita came to The Community Foundation in 2006 with a wealth of experience in issues related to church and community affairs. Her background includes working with C-level executives at The Coca-Cola Company, volunteering with national mega-church ministries and serving as a recruiter for Tulane Law School.
She holds undergraduate degrees in Biblical Studies and Leadership & Administration from Beulah Heights University and is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity from the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center.
Juanita lives in an Atlanta suburb with her husband, Carl, of 20 years and two daughters, Sasha and Brittany—both of whom are currently pursuing their undergraduate degrees.
