VILMA WEEKES serves as Front Office Administrator/Receptionist for The Community Foundation. Vilma joined The Community Foundation in 1993 as Administrative Assistant/Grant Administrator for Community Partnerships.
From 1993 to 2006, Vilma was the Grants Administrator for the Common Good Funds, the Neighborhood Fund, the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund, the Managing for Excellence program and other initiatives. Vilma’s historical perspective, knowledge and relationships with the Foundation and the region’s philanthropic community engender incredible goodwill and social capital on behalf of the Foundation.
Prior to coming to the Foundation, Vilma worked in banking and customer service in her native country of Jamaica as well as Canada. She resides in Stone Mountain with her husband. Her three children and three grandchildren live in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties, here in Georgia.
