Atlanta Arts Recovery Initiative
In 2011, the Arts Fund extended the successful Atlanta Arts Recovery initiative, a $2.5 million program designed to keep metro Atlanta’s small and midsized arts organizations stable as they face unprecedented financial challenges. This program provides increased Arts Fund’s grants to $1 million a year, enhanced management consulting and expanded loan programs - when the arts need it most.

Financial support received through Arts Recovery grants is unrestricted general operating support and allows the arts organizations the flexibility to innovate and adjust to the new economy. The arts organizations receiving Atlanta Arts Recovery grants in 2010 and 2011 will be announced and honored at the luncheon.

Highlights

Foundation measures metro Atlanta's philanthropy

At The Community Foundation, we are committed to promoting and supporting philanthropy in the metro Atlanta region.

In 2010 we commissioned an in-depth study to track the investment and engagement of residents in our 23-county region in four key areas: Community Involvement, Philanthropic Giving, Volunteerism, and Public Policy Involvement.

It is our intent to conduct this study every three years to see changes in how Atlantans are connected and engaged around in the four key areas.
