Donor Engagement

We offer a wide variety of donor engagement opportunities throughout the year including publications focused on areas of interest as well as various events for donors. Our goal is to provide these opportunities to guide you in your philanthropy. They include: 
   

• An Extra Wish covers the costs of essential items that would contribute to the success of an organization, but have been set aside because of more pressing needs. The Foundation’s program staff and Board review each request and a catalogue of "wishes" is published twice a year. Click here to view our most recent issue of An Extra Wish.

• Planet Philanthropy engages young people ages 8 through 16 in a half-day workshop to explore ideas about giving back. Click here to download our Giving Guide.

• Smart Giving is our education series offering guidance on ways you can be more strategic with your giving. Each year we offer opportunities for donors to connect with each other, Foundation staff and experts in the field to to learn more about how to make a greater impact through their giving. • We also offer donor education sessions on specific areas of interest to the community including health and aging, education and foreclosure. Click here for 2013 events.

• In addition, we offer an annual donor appreciation event highlighting successes and sharing stories of individual donor work, as well as an opportunity to meet with our president and board chair to discuss critical issues about philanthropy in the region.
