Sea Change: Redefining Family Philanthropy in 2010

Join us at the Council on Foundation’s Annual Conference on Family Philanthropy. This year’s theme is “Sea Change: Redefining Family Philanthropy.”  From January 31 through February 2, hundreds of families will gather at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in San Diego. This year’s conference seeks to engage families with multiple giving vehicles—from family foundations to donor-advised funds and supporting organizations.

Consider joining your fellow Foundation fund advisors at the conference.  Fund advisors, Katy Pattillo and Hannah and Kevin Salwen, will participate in sessions focused on “Catalytic Philanthropy” and “Raising Philanthropic Children,” respectively.

For more information on the conference, please visit the Council on Foundation's website or contact Audrey Jacobs, Director, Center for Family Philanthropy, at 404-588-3194.

Highlights

Impact Philanthropy

Impact Philanthropy is an approach we're taking to further engage donors of The Community Foundation to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Impact Philanthropy includes print, online and “community conversations” with nonprofits and donors – all with the focus of connecting donors with their passion and the needs of the community.

Through Impact Philanthropy, we help define the issues and opportunities nonprofits and those they serve are facing. Past editions of Impact Philanthropy have focused on Crisis Assistance in metro Atlanta, as well as the importance of the arts.
