September Classes for Nonprofits: September 1, 2009

The Community Foundation’s commitment to strengthening and supporting our region’s nonprofit sector includes more than giving financial grants.

Beginning in 2009, The Community Foundation is offering a slate of classes relating to our four priorities under Nonprofit Effectiveness: strategic planning & business analysis, board development, fund development planning and advocacy.

This month, the Foundation is offering two classes through the Georgia Center for Nonprofits – BPL 460 Results Based Strategic Planning & MGT 450 Strategic Alliances, Joint Ventures and Partnerships. Starting September 2, nonprofits may register to attend these classes.

Our Philanthropic Framework

During 2008 The Community Foundation dedicated time to learn new ways we can strengthen the Atlanta region through philanthropy. We studied practices in the field, attended conferences, read research from experts and peers, and listened to our donors, nonprofits and community leaders. From this we have created Our Philanthropic Framework.

This is not a reinvention of The Community Foundation - it is simply our intent to clearly define how we do our work and how we'll know if we're making a difference.
