2012 Prudential Leadership Award for Exceptional Nonprofit Boards
“When it comes to board leadership, we all discuss what we shouldn't do. No one wants the bad press that comes with bad governance. But what about good governance and what we can do to provide nonprofit organizations with effective leadership?
“BoardSource and the Prudential Foundation are starting that discussion by highlighting 24 boards that are practicing strong governance and are proactively "designing change" to ensure their organizations' success in these difficult times. They are among many more that applied for the Prudential Leadership Awards for Exceptional Nonprofit Boards.
“While only five boards will win an award, all inspire us to take a new approach to strengthening and building our organizations' impact through board leadership and deserve our congratulations for work well done!”
