The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta’s Board has approved $1.5 million in grants and support through our various grantmaking programs during the first set of grant cycles for 2009.
After finalizing grant agreements with each organization, close to 40 nonprofits will receive grants from the following competitive grantmaking programs: Common Good Funds, Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund, Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, Fayette Fund and Neighborhood Fund.
During the past year, The Community Foundation has examined and modified our approach to grantmaking, creating more flexibility for nonprofits in our region interested in funding. Guided by our recently launched Philanthropic Framework, we continue to transform our grantmaking to strengthen our impact on the 23 counties we serve.
