Upcoming Grant Deadlines


There are multiple upcoming deadlines for nonprofits interested in funding through our competitive grantmaking programs and community initiatives.


Common Good Funds (General Operating Support)

  • September 15: Deadline for Letter of Intent
  • There will not be an orientation session prior to the September deadline. All nonprofits are encouraged to view the presentations online (See tools under 2010 materials).

    In addition to applying for financial grants, nonprofit organizations can take advantage of resources for grantees’ professional and organizational development provided through our Nonprofit Effectiveness Program.

    Our Philanthropic Framework

    During 2008 The Community Foundation dedicated time to learn new ways we can strengthen the Atlanta region through philanthropy. We studied practices in the field, attended conferences, read research from experts and peers, and listened to our donors, nonprofits and community leaders. From this we have created Our Philanthropic Framework.


    This is not a reinvention of The Community Foundation - it is simply our intent to clearly define how we do our work and how we'll know if we're making a difference.
