The Community Foundation’s commitment to strengthening and supporting our region’s nonprofit sector includes more than giving financial grants. This year, the Foundation will continue to offer grantees the opportunity to attend workshops, trainings and conferences for selected programs.

Nonprofit organizations that have received grants from any of The Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking programs (Common Good Funds, Arts Fund, AIDS Fund, Neighborhood Fund, Local Funds and Grants to Green) within the last six years (2004-2009) and new (2010) grantees may take advantage of this opportunity.

Highlights

Our Philanthropic Framework

During 2008 The Community Foundation dedicated time to learn new ways we can strengthen the Atlanta region through philanthropy. We studied practices in the field, attended conferences, read research from experts and peers, and listened to our donors, nonprofits and community leaders. From this we have created Our Philanthropic Framework.

This is not a reinvention of The Community Foundation - it is simply our intent to clearly define how we do our work and how we'll know if we're making a difference.
