The Community Foundation’s commitment to strengthening and supporting our region’s nonprofit sector includes more than giving financial grants.

Beginning in 2009, The Community Foundation is offering a slate of classes relating to our four priorities under Nonprofit Effectiveness: strategic planning & business analysis, board development, fund development planning and advocacy.

For October and November, the Foundation is offering three classes for past grantees through the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and the Foundation Center:

  • October 27 - FND 250 Individual Major Gifts Fundraising
  • November 3 - Cultivating Grantmaker Relationships
  • November 12 - GOV 510 Governance as Leadership: Reframing the Work of the Nonprofit Board

Highlights

Building Our Communities through Philanthropy

While many in the region know The Community Foundation for our grantmaking programs, we play a wide variety of roles in creating philanthropic solutions to our communities’ most pressing problems. These roles are as varied as the challenges our Atlanta region faces, but they each start with the premise that communities are built, improved and strengthened by the passion, ideas and resources of its people.
