At The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, we believe one important way to strengthen and support our region’s nonprofits is to provide opportunities for board and staff to learn from field experts and peers through training, workshops and conferences. Recent grantee have access to a variety of professional development resources free of charge.

Georgia Center for Nonprofits & Foundation Center
We are partnering with the Foundation Center and Georgia Center for Nonprofit's Nonprofit University to make nearly all of their fee-based classes available to past grantees at no cost. Please visit our Events for Nonprofits page for a list of classes and workshops for which scholarships will be made available and for information on how to sign up for these classes. There is no limit on the number of classes you, your staff or board can access.

Classes, Seminars and Conferences of Your Choice
The Community Foundation will also consider support for courses, seminar series and conferences that have been self-identified by nonprofits. Past grantees can apply as often as desired but are limited to two of these Nonprofit Scholarships annually. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with awards being made twice a month. Highlights

Building Our Communities through Philanthropy

While many in the region know The Community Foundation for our grantmaking programs, we play a wide variety of roles in creating philanthropic solutions to our communities’ most pressing problems. These roles are as varied as the challenges our Atlanta region faces, but they each start with the premise that communities are built, improved and strengthened by the passion, ideas and resources of its people.

Now available, "Building Our Communities Through Philanthropy" highlights our community leadership work and our various roles in the 23-county region. Click here to access.
