We are delighted to announce that Christy Eckoff has joined The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta as its new Director of Gift Planning. In this position, Christy is primarily responsible for developing the strategic direction for and successful implementation of the Foundation’s comprehensive planned and major giving programs.
Christy comes to us with an extensive background in gift planning, tax and estate planning, and has most recently served in the senior gift planning role at Georgia State University. Christy has both the technical skills and experience to help us build on already strong donor prospect and professional advisor relationships and take these to the next level.

Professional advisors in the greater Atlanta region are one of the most important groups of stakeholders helping The Community Foundation strengthen the Atlanta region through philanthropy. They refer more than 90 percent of our new donors to The Community Foundation, and we work closely with these professionals to help them serve as their clients’ trusted advisor on charitable planning issues.
