The Comunity Foundation for Greater Atlanta is a proud partner and supporter of The Civic League. We know the power that comes from engaged and empowered citizens working to improve their communities. Our Neighborhood Fund provides financial support and guidance to local groups and organizations looking to make a difference in their local areas.

Last year, the Neighborhood Fund and Foundation staff, including Lesley Grady, senior vice president of Community Partnerships and Board chair of The Civic League, worked with The Civic League to successfully host the first annual Neighborhood Summit, where more than 500 metro Atlanta community leaders and members gathered to discuss issues of mutual interest and importance.

Highlights

Impact Philanthropy

Impact Philanthropy is an approach we're taking to further engage donors of The Community Foundation to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Impact Philanthropy includes print, online and “community conversations” with nonprofits and donors – all with the focus of connecting donors with their passion and the needs of the community.

Through Impact Philanthropy, we help define the issues and opportunities nonprofits and those they serve are facing. Past editions of Impact Philanthropy have focused on Crisis Assistance in metro Atlanta, as well as the importance of the arts.
