Community leadership

As co-chair of Healthy Belvedere and president of the Belvedere Civic Club, Brown has become an instrumental leader in advocating for positive change in her community. She has helped form walking clubs for the young and old and armed neighborhood youth with cameras to take snapshots of safety, walkability and lighting issues that affect the community’s health.

Brown works directly with Healthy Belvedere partners in the area including local businesses, churches, the elementary school and many other neighbors. As Brown says, “to enjoy your community, your community has to be healthy.”
